1998
xotox wurde als solo-projekt von andreas davids ins leben gerufen. die musikist passenderweise selbstbenannt als "industrial for hyperactive people". mit dem debüt album "stückgut" gelang ein gewisser achtungserfolg. die nachfolger "epos" und "monolith" schlugen in die gleiche kerbe.
1999 – 2001
nach der veröffentlichung von "disinhibition" folgten diverse live-auftritte bei denen xotox auch seine live-qualitäten unter beweis stellen konnte. auch die nachfolgenden alben "normalzustand: angst" und "rhythm of fear(live in jena)" konnten überzeugen und höchstwertungen einfahren.
2002
"silberfieber" und “nothing” erschienen, die mit den hits "eisenkiller", "nothing" , "null" und "zweischicht" diverse clubs zum kochen brachten.
Mit pronoize steht nun ein starker partner an der seite von xotox. diverse samplerbeiträge auf wichtigen kopplungen sorgen danach für immenses aufsehen.
2003
mit "lichtlos" erschien das erste album auf pronoize welches sich nahezu komplett auf den tanzflächen der nation etablierte.
"eisenkiller" war der clubkracher des winters 2003/2004 und "lichtlos"das album das neue maßstäbe setzte. zum ersten mal gelang es einem "industriellen" act in den dac (deutsche alternative charts) den ersten platz zu erobern und das gleich mehrere wochen hintereinander.
2004
"die unruhe" erschien als limitierte ep und enthielt 15 neue titel inkl. clubhits wie "nasse wände" und "mechanische unruhe" und auch diverse remixe. „die unruhe“ war bereits vor veröffentlichung durch die hohe anzahl an vorbestellungen ausverkauft.
2005
"[psi]" wurde als jewelcase-edition und limitierte doppel-cd im digipack mit einer extra bonus-cd veröffentlicht.
"[psi]" erreichte platz zwei in den dac (deutsche alternative charts) und hielt diese position drei wochen lang hintereinander.
2006
xotox veröffentlichte sein erstes live-album mit dem titel
"dokumentation 1: ton" (limitiert auf 1000 stück)
2008
"in den zehn morgen" erschien in zwei formaten (standard jewel-case-version und das auf 1000 stück limitierte box-set, welche u. a. die bonus-cd "early recordings" enthält) und enthält als clubhits u. a. "ewig" , "habitat", "grob fahrlässig" oder "keine ruhe vor dem sturm".
"in den zehn morgen" erreichte platz eins in den dac (deutsche alternative charts) und hielt diese position sensationelle sechs wochen lang hintereinander und erreichte auch platz 4 in den dac "Top 50 of the year 2008".
im mai 2008 erschien mit „hyperactive – the best of“ ein exklusives nordamerika-release bei vendetta-music (als lizenz von pronoize) – darauf sind sämtliche clubhits und zwei bis dahin unveröffentlichte tracks enthalten.
2009
die split-ep mit detune-x "we are deaf" erschien als kurzes gastspiel und mit freundlicher genehmigung von pronoize auf dem italienischen label rustblade.
"we are deaf" erscheint als jewelcase-version und als limitiertes boxset.
2010
„die unruhe 2.0“ erschien am 19. märz als re-release von „die unruhe“, welche als original-version in 2004 erschien.
„die unruhe 2.0“ beinhaltet alle originalen tracks und mit „you can´t hurt me“ und „the punisher“ zwei bisher unveröffentlichte, die aus de rgleichen session stammen.
Diese veröffentlichung wird passenderweise mit „die rückkehr des originals... oft kopiert – nie erreicht!“ angekündigt.

2002
"silberfieber" and "nothing" were released featuring the hits "eisenkiller", "nothing", "null" and "zweischicht", which went on heavy rotation in many clubs in germany. both releases had this success resulted in xotox being picked up by industrial label pronoize, which in turn led to xotox getting a much higher profile in part through their contributionsto high profile compilations put together by the german scene magazin "orkus".
2003
the first album on pronoize was released - "lichtlos" managed to establish itself on nearly every german dancefloor. "eisenkiller" became the clubanthem of winter 2003/04 and "lichtlos" the benchmark album. for the very first time an industrial-act managed to reach number 1 in the german alternative charts (dac) and held on to the top spot for several weeks.
2004
the follow-up to "lichtlos" was released also on pronoize.
"die unruhe" contained 15 new tracks, including the clubhits "nasse waende" and "mechanische unruhe" as well as several remixes. "die unruhe" sold out before the actual release date just on account of the pre-orders.
2005
„[psi]" was released as a jewel-case-edition and as a special limited double-cd-edition in a digipack. "[psi]" reached pos. 2 in the german alternative charts (dac).
2006
xotox released the first live-album called "dokumentation 1: ton" (limited to 1000 pcs.)
2008
"in den zehn morgen" was released. The album contains many club-hits , such as "ewig", "habitat", "grob fahrlaessig" or "keine ruhe vor dem sturm".
"in den zehn morgen" was released both in standard jewel-case format and as a limited box set, which contains the bonus cd "early recordings". the box set is strictly limited to 1000, each numbered by hand. "in den zehn morgen" reached number 1 in the german alternative charts (dac) and held on to the top spot for 6 weeks in a row and it reached alsoposition 4 in the DAC "Top50 of the year 2008".
in may „hyperactive – the best of“ was released as an exclusive north-america-release by vendetta music (under licence of pronoize).this release contains all clubhits and 2 previously unreleased tracks.
2009
the split-ep "we are deaf" with detune-x was released in september onthe italian label rustblade as a guest appearance and by courtesy of pronoize. "we are deaf" was released as a standard jewel-case versionand as a limited box set.
2010
„die unruhe 2.0“ was released on march, 19th as a re-release of „die unruhe“ wich was originally released in 2004.
„die unruhe 2.0“ contains all original tracks plus two previously unreleased tracks with „you can´t hurt me“ and „the punisher“, whichstem from the same session.
This release is adequately announced as „the return of the original... often imitated but never equalled!“
andreas is also a sought after dj on the electro, industrial and noise scene.
